The back yard of our holiday condo was situated at the 9th hole green of a golf course. One day this beautiful feathered friend dropped by the pond beside the green, for a short visit. We always see these regal herons on the shore of the lake at our camp in Northern Ontario, but I never have been able to get this close to one, to take a picture.
