Concrete is the world's most popular construction material, and has been since the early 1930s when it replaced stone as this planet's primary building block. Today one form of concrete or another is used to make pavement, pipes, architectural structures, foundations, sidewalks and roads, bridges and overpasses, parking structures, block walls and footings for gates, fences and poles.

Concrete Ideas photo contest is a challenge to architectural photographers all over Canada. Please lens some of the concrete objets d'art in your neighbourhood. Submit them to this photo contest and wait for the world to score them.
