PRIZE

This Lenzr photo contest is different than all others that have come before--it's a new style reward structure, and the first of three challenges seeking hard-to-find images from inside factories. This web challenge marks a change in Lenzr; the sponsor is using our system to obtain rare images to license for their new website.

Manufacturing horseshoes for good luck in Lenzr Photo ContestsFinding and capturing A Manufacturing Process is hard, and so this contest is for professional photographers. The prize is $250 cash in exchange for the rights to use your photo (non exclusive for 3 years). Solarsoft wants to display original images of automated equipment making stuff indoors. They want to see and license cool shots of machines in action on the factory floor. They are offering three other members $75 each for their pictures, non exclusive. Show them robotic welders, or rows of glass bottles getting labels. Make medium shots of machinery mechanizing a manufacturing process.

Solarsoft business logoSolarsoft was amused with the storytelling images that were submitted and displayed in the Broken Factories photo contest, and they were even more taken with the pictures submitted in their Beautiful Factories photo contest. Now they've asked Lenzr to run another match so they can license images for their process manufacturing page, and the lean manufacturing page of their new website. There is even more information about this unique offer, and this manufacturing software company on the Lenzr blog.

A win / win scenario for photographers and sponsors, the sponsor rewards prize winning photographers, and gets to use their photos. The winning photographer will have just licensed photos to a highly respectable multinational manufacturing resource planning software company and perhaps see them displayed on their website. *Non exclusive license for 3 yrs. Solarsoft is under no obligation to display any procured photos.

RULES / TIMELINE The contest works like any other Lenzr match--it's a sixty day challenge. Upload your pictures to the index now, and right up until Sept 25, 2011. It's recommended you promote your pictures when voting begins Sept 15, 2011 to get into the Top Ten grouping.

Judges pick from the Top Ten images that are locked down on the 25th of September 12:01am when voting ends - the winner is announced Oct 1, 2011.

Contest not valid in Quebec, must be 13 yrs of age or older to enter.

Hey people. i know this contest is REALLY HARD... but not all challenges here on Lenzr are easy. That said, I must delete lauramzy 's robot person and sturgeon11's sailboat simply because they are exterior shots. If he or she could take those pictures (of a sailboat) inside a building (factory) they would still be here on the index.

lauramzy I did not get a chance to see your 'robot person' and it sounds intriguing and fun. This photo challenge does clearly say in the description "images from inside factories" However maybe your submission could be suited to "Metal World" or just saved for another challenge, either way I strongly feel that derogatory name calling is not called for on this website at all. Lenzr administrators developed this site that is gathering wrong support for various sponsors, they are doing a great job, it is a site that everyone can use, make submissions and maybe win a prize some time, and yes sometimes the administrators job does involve making decisions (or similarly not making decisions) that may not please everyone, but still it is evolving and a lot of dedication and long hours of work goes into making this available for everyone to use.

Thanks Pete. It says "... original images of automated equipment making stuff indoors..". and 'cool shots of machines in action on the factory floor'. There are a lot of things to complain about on Lenzr, but this isnt one of them.

I had to delete four pictures from inthespot1 because he proved to be American. Look for an complete write-up and lovely email from him in the blog at the end 'warp-up'of this contest.
